Hey guys and gals, first of all cool site. I have a 89 mercury 60 hp, wasn't getting thing above idle. worked allllll weekend, finally have running but still bogs down under load. sometimes it will get up and go , then cuts out at idle. has had carbs rebuilt, new fuel pump,hoses, plugs and wires, anything else i may be missing?::

2 strokes require a much richer idle mix.

Generally, any throttle hesitation, stumble or bog on acceleration is simply too lean an idle mixture. Continue backing out the idle mixture screws from best idle IN Forward Gear a 1/16 of a turn at a time, until all traces of hesitation are gone.

Be absolutely religious about fuel quality and cleanliness, even a small amount of water in a carb will cause major 'gremlins' in drivability.
