Yamaha 90hp Trim Problem

I have a 90 HP TLRA 2002, the dust seal on the main t&t piston has gone bad. I am having trouble getting the cap off of the cylindar not to mention I cant seem to find the replacement cap. Any thoughts?

Spanner wrench or home made tool needed or big vice grips and a rag to get it off. Wrap the rod with elec taped to avoid scratching it

Why replace the cap replace just the seal 6H1-43812-00-00

The cap for the center rod looks to be part of the rod assembly and will have to be ordered that way

The problem is the cap will not come off without chewing it up. It will have to be replaced.
