What Lone Star boat is this?

I have an old Lone Star boat and I am wondering what year it might have been built and what model it is?

Is there any interest in restoring a boat like this?



The engine purrs like a kitten and I found from the serial number is a 1953 I believe.

My opinion is that is more likely a late '50s or early '60s model. The winged back was popular back then. I had a '63 Evinrude that looked similiar to your motor. My guess woud be '60 or '61. There is a bit of a following for this style, but like most things, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Try Fiberclassics. Interest in restoring? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you want to restore it go ahead but do not expect to make money. The restored hull will almost always be worth less that you invested in repairs.

If it were my boat, I would certainly restore it.

it is a glass boat, makes it 1966 or newer. Lonestar section of Fiberglassics is down for rework.
