My husband and i have a 1997 jc pontoon. The warranty states that the company jc mfg inc warrantys its tubes. It is posted on thier own web site. However when contacted about our tubes leaking at the welds they are now stating the warranty is only good for 5 yrs. It s strange when 1 1/2 ago they leaked they sent a welder over to repair it under warranty, but now that it is leaking again they said it was only a 5 yrs warranty. When attempting to contact the company no one will return your calls.....just want to warn all you boaters of this fraudulent policies of this company

you are talking about a 13 year old boat, what do you expect. 5 year warranty would be considered great. i would consider myself lucky, they repaired it 1 1/2 years ago.

The warranty states that the company jc mfg inc warrantys its tubes. It is posted on thier own web site.

That warranty is also a limited warranty for their new boats, not for older boats. What does your particular warranty paper work say?

I always get concerned when someone comes to the forum and their first post is a complaint about a company. I also wonder how many other forums the poster is joining with the same post. I would sure like to know "The Rest of the Story" But I doubt JC Pontoons will post their position on this problem.

We got less than half of the story here.....
Is this the original owner?
What was the warranty in 1997?
Was this a result of an accident, dock damage, or was it a failure of materials or workmanship?
