getting impeller INTO housing

Today must be my day to post..Thanks for the help thus far..

120 merc with a ONE or PRE ONE OD.

Installing the new impeller...How the HECK do you get the sunofagun into the housing???

I see from the old one that the "blades" are all bent..New ones are straight..Trying to bend each one at a time and get it in there..going INSANE!!

Any ideas??

Put some dishwashing liquid on the impeller. Then put the impeller on the shaft with the key in place. Put the housing on and turn the shaft clockwise while pushing down on the housing. It will pop right over the impeller and the vanes will be going the right way. Don't forget the gaskets.
