Re: TEBOW, breaks SEC record
I'm not a Florida fan by any means, but just is just. It took Tebow the better part of 4 seasons to do what Walker did in 3, but remember - he had a few passes to throw and hand-off's to make in between the rushing TD's. I think he's a quite remarkable individual.
Not only almost 4 seasons, but four 13-game seasons, where when Herschel played, you got 11 games/year.
Sure Tim had to throw a little and handoff some, but don't you think Herschel's QB had to throw to the wideouts and hand off to another back every once in a while?
Also, while Tim is a QB, the offense he plays in is not the same as the others. The QB is hardly a QB, he's more like a running back, who can throw.
So while it's a nice accomplishment, he's been given a lot more opportunity to break the record than Herschel Walker had to set it. That's all I'm saying. It was inevitable.
