I am repowering my boat and was thinking of going to a top mount binacle style or a repositioning of side mount.
Here is the problem: My old OMC side mount was attached to a wing that extends about 17" from the helm area. When Proline put it together they mounted the control at about 45* tilting down, I guess they wanted to minimize exposed cotrol cable, but it has always been an awkward using position expecially when in reverse.
Does anybody make a housing that I could mount on the wing that I could mount a binacle style or position a side control in a more usable position?
The mounting area is about 15" long, and plenty of depth and width. Any suggestions or tips greatly appreciated.
