A bent wheel is not good -- long trips or short. Replace it.

I agree. I wouldn't go to the lake until I replaced the wheel.

Did the bearing buddy fit that drum/hub before?
If so, is the lip of the hub all battered up?

Well i found a few great deals. I found a place I can get a new replacement wheel for $27, and a new drum for $34 so that is next on my list. The shocker was I can get a complete axle for $68. Only thing is I have a square axle on my trailer and the place only sells round axles. They said that is no problem and it will work and I just have to replace the u bolts. Would this be a good idea considering I personally think one of the spindles may be bad? I am planning on trying to put my boat in a slip in January and completely overhaul, strip and paint my trailer. What do you think?

It's best to replace the entire axle but then you'll need to weld the mounting pads onto the axle plus it's best to replace both hubs with new. It might be cheaper in the long run to find a good solid trailer that doesn't need any repairs thru Craigslist

To preset your bearings, jack your axle/wheel up so you can turn it and tighten the nut with your fingers while turning the wheel (do not use a wrench on that nut) and you can feel the bearing tighten, then back off just a bit(maybe a quarter turn), install your cotter key. I pump grease in bearings every time I put the boat/trailer in the water, just to force out any water that may have leaked in, especially salt water. Good Luck!
