Re: need help

Im not one of the real experts that hang around here but I think you still have a fuel delivery issue. Check the plugs first and replace if they they arent almost new. Did the carb rebuild include a very good cleaning using the stuff that you dip it in and let soak? Were all of the little passages on the carbs blown out with air pressure? Being that old the fuel pump may be weak and need a rebuild kit. Also be sure the carbs arent sucking air because of a bad gasket and that they arent loose.i. Next be sure your fuel lines are clean . A clogged fuel line will starve the engine for fuel and make it cut off and not idle.

Re: need help

thanks thefairlaneman i will try what you said carbs were soaked
but didn't blow out with air just didn't think of it. also the side plates with
all the gaskets i think they are in the correct order never could find a good
picture of how they go back . had them in order but a cat ran across my
work bench and well they were all over the place , need a service repair
book or a web site with a breakdown of the walbour carbs ? the plugs are
new, but the fuel pump i will replace it anyway while i have this apart.
i will let you know how this works out thanks again .
