Merc V6 Dry joint exhaust upgrade plumbing?

I have just completed rebuild on a 1996 V6 2bl carb and I am upgrading to dry joint exhausts. I purchased a mercury set taken off a new motor and they have a water outlet on the riser. How should I plumb the this outlet or do I just block it off.

Some upgrade, $72.00 for a gasket.
I think it would be determined by the therm housing you are using whether a hose gets connected there.

Thanks - However I have purchase new exhaust manifolds and risers taken of a 2009 model to relpace the older manifolds and manifolds, not just a gasket. The plumbing is different as the riser has an inlet/outlet which the old riser did not have.
