updates!!!
i have completed my resto on a 1976 glastron sportster. Transom, stringers and floor have been replaced. The drain hole, i drilled 2X bigger than plug, filled with resin and then set plug in resin rather than exposed wood.
the only thing i have not replaced is the foam blocks in the stern. On each side there were 2 big foam blocks glassed to the hull. SHOULD I PUT THOSE BACK IN?
WITHOUT THEM, I GET 2X MORE STORAGE ROOM FOR GAS, BATT., ETC.
LET ME KNOW BEFORE I HIT THE WATER IS IT STRUCTURAL OR FOR FLOTATION?
