I have a 21' pontoon with a 40hp Johnson w/tilt/trim. I normaly get 4,000. A couple of times I have seen 4,500 rpm. Is this normal? Engine runs smooth at all speeds. I have owned this one 6 mo.
Thanks, I guess I need to find out what prop pitch or maby start with timing adj. The man I purchhased it from had the wrong plugs in it so their may be others parts wrong or just need eng. tweeking
