58 Big Twin 35 HP Fuel Pump Conversion?

I've recently acquired a nice 1958 Evinrude 35 HP and would like to convert to fuel pump...has anyone performed this conversion? What is required? I've found new and used OMC fuel pumps rated for newer 25-55hp motors. I've read other posts that suggest this could be a simple conversion.

Appreciate any input.
