I have a 93 4.3L in my grady and it has a drive oil resevoir. Whenever I park the boat it seems to slowly leak drive oil from just behind the prop hub. I have been told this is a normal issue for these models. any suggestions or insights?

You might have picked up some fishing line...and cut your prop shaft seal.

I would pull the prop and take a look...and then fix the leak!

Happy boating!

I agree,It's not really normal to drip gear oil.The prop shaft seal is probably leaking.

Nope,... It's not normal for Any gearcase to Leak... Especially 1 Under water...
Getting it checked out,+ fixed should be priority #1

It also could be leaking form the vertical drive seals into the housing and going out the hub via the exhaust cavity.

If you cant pin point the leak you will need a drive off pressure and vacuum test. both because some seals seal oil in and some seal water out.
