I was getting stressed, not keeping this 32 year old beauty under cover. The previous owner kept it under cover it's entire life.
My pole barn is full, no room for the boat.
I was going to build onto the pole barn's leanto, but my materials would have cost more than this.

Later, I can move this somewhere else when we do build on. The company is TNT Carports and they were great to deal with.

Went from this at 3:30pm today,

To this at 7pm,

Thanks Gary.
We fenced in a part of the yard for the dog. It's mostly split rail, with some privacy on the other side, where the hot tub is located.

I hear ya! You have the same gates and everything.

We fenced in the back of the property.I ended up with two 12 ft gates and a 4 ft gate...and 1000 ft of fence.
The dogs love it and all my vehicles can be pulled inside the fence.

I would do the same metal car port like that but we have a Magnolia tree that the little women refuses to let me cut down.( because of the pretty flowers )
With that tree gone it would work perfect next to my shop....women..geeze!

I've got one of those in 18 x 20 that I park my Jeep and boat under. I've had it 8 years. It's seen a lot of wind and had a big tree limb or two fall on it. It's protected my stuff well. A couple of years ago, an ice storm brought the whole top out of a tree. The carport stopped it. I'm glad it would have done some serious damage to the boat/jeep.

That looks really nice... if you don't mind me asking, what did that cost?

Every used car lot in town here sells 'em. The 18 x 20 starts at about 600 bucks. You can fill out an order sheet and get custom sizes and do add on's like closing in sides and ends.

That was 1500 and some change delivered and installed. I went 7' high, and enclosed the one side, plus 4 mobile home anchors.

Lookin good, you said you have it anchored down, right on, is there going to be any snow or rain issues from the larger roof to the enclosures roof and getting back under the larger roofs area?

Sweet deal!!! I wish I had a spot like that but maybe someday. Nice going!!! Not that boat will stay nice looking for a long time to come!

Got enough room to squeeze mine in too? :p

I am going to put a gutter on the big roof, that will take care of excess rain issues. I am going to put gravel down, so hopefully the rain running off the smaller roof won;t be an issue.
Hopefully when the snow slides off the big roof, it won't crush the new small roof

Gotta do what ya gotta do. I spent many years wrenching on my vehicles laying on gravel, in the snow sometimes, with no cover. I have some joint issues and my wonderful, awesome wife insisted I build a nice polebarn with a lift when we built this house 3 years ago.
She also was the one who said I should get one of these shelters. She's a keeper!

Looks great, mine is under a huge tarp at the side of the garage. I would love to have some indoor storage though. The cars get the garage in winter though.
