My grand neice is one week old , had heart surgery, will need more :( prayers needed

her mom/my niece is almost 21....second kid, married although I will not meet the dad......it wouldnt be pretty....hes already fooled around on her after the 1st kid - reallt he doesnt want to meet me....oldest is almost 2, a beauty and SMART girl, second just bor last week.....
ok - this is what kills me guys/ladyfish..../girls.......Alexis(newborn) had heart surgery yesterday at 1 week old.....did mom and dad stay for operation?........"no we're not gonna wait all day".......and he is in the Army, not deployed now, the one who bitched about basic, and wanting to get a gonzo medical release......he did deploy - cant beleive a word he says , he desk side in Afghanistan soon.......and what are they doing while this beautiful little girl is going thru surgery and my ex SIL and MIL AT hospital???? At his dads playing a "FRIGGIN" video games........
Im speechless............along with my ex and her family(we all get along)....
But I'm sorry , I ben a parent since I was 22.................WTF???????????????????????
Ex SIL, neices mom goin for custody............... I cant beleive this, ok and sorry if pic is a heart breaker.......goddddddddd you couldnt pay me to LEAVE the hospital.....

My youngest had some issues when she was born because my wife had the flu when she was born. She spent about a week in the nicu, we only left once a day to have dinner with our son every night. We had to pay extra for a room across the hall from the nicu and I couldn't imagine any thought of not being there for my kids nothing in this world is more important to me.

EDIT: that is a beautiful baby. (but they all are) I hope everything works out for the baby's best interest.

My prayers go out to you and your family. my son spent eleven days in icu after he was born (doctor let him take a breath during c section) so I know what you are talking about. I had a wife in a hosptial a hundred miles away. and spent all my time to and from two hosptials. Son is 22 and a completly healthy. So hang in there, as for the dad ............I know some deep mineshafts out here in the desert......nuff said?

ezbtr.........she's gorgeous! My family will be praying for her. Maybe meeting you is exactly what "dad" needs. She wouldn't have to worry about him all of her life!

My nephew spent his first three months in ICU because he was born premature. Never was there a minute he was not surrounded by family and when his parents weren't there for whatever reason they were always close. My heart goes out to your babygirl...

Glad that all is well. I made a deal with the big guy upstairs 15 years ago when I first heard my son might need heart surgery. I said I'd gladly trade my life for his so he'd be ok.

Luckily the docs were wrong ad everything turned out well and I didn't have to follow through on the deal

That dad needs a good thumping. He'd be safer in Afghanistan than from me.
