The marathon starts at 8pm tonight on TBS, same as every year.
I am VERY familiar with this movie, as I used it to propose to my wife.
I proposed to her Christmas Eve 1993. We worked in a bar/restaurant, she a server, myself a bartender. We got off work, and were very tired as it was super busy. I told her it was tradition with me to watch the movie.
So we sat down to watch. Unbeknown to her, I had taped over the VHS tabs and halfway through the movie, I filmed myself and my proposal, including flipbook illustrations, and then me zooming in on different places where the ring might be. It was in a poinsettia, and she said yes!
