Hi there,
i took my boat out for fishing last week and the motor was working perfectly. After i came back home i wanted to flush the motor with fresh water and i could not start it to perform the flush. It is very strange because it worked flawlessly all day long and at once does not start. The sparkplugs are working fine with a nice spark at each of them. I do not think that the problem is electric, but... i am not sure.
Does anybody have any idea why the engine does not want to start?

Thanks in advance!

Go to the Engine FAQs Forum

Do "Outboard won't start".

Let us know what you find, and good luck

Sounds like something simple. If you have fire than more than likely it is a fuel issue. Check and see if the fuel is getting to the carbs/filters. You can also try spraying mixed 50/1 ratio gas straight into the carbs and see if anything happens. Good luck.
