Hello all!

I just purchased a 48 spl Evinrude to replace the cursed 40 Johnson I own, and judging by the color (its the Evinrude Silver Blue) I think it has to be either an 87 or 88 model, but I'm not sure. The model number is VE48ESLCCC. Anyone know how I can find the correct year of this motor and will the propellor from my 1992 Johnson fit this motor, as it does have a slightly different lower unit?

Thanks for any help!

The prop should fit, though it may not be right for your setup. You can see a list of the OE propellers that were originally used on both motors and the superseding numbers at the Evinrude parts catalog site: http://shop2.evinrude.com/

Find your models, then the gearcase diagram.
