Where do I find this information? I have a 2003 Glaston Mercruiser 4.3L Alpha one outdrive. Is this a standard ratio documented somewhere?

It should be on the decal on the port side of the drive. The decal should have the serial number followed by R 1.84. That is the standard ratio for the 4.3. If the decal is gone it's normally stamped into the drive under the decal.

How confident are you in that ratio? My boat is in storage and I don't have access to it to actually check.
I'm just doing some slip calculations for different props and this is one of the inputs.
Is that the std ratio that is used for this engine/outdrive?

Thanks again.

Here is a list of gear ratios they offer.http://www.mtboats.com/outdrivegearratios.html

If you can post either your engine or drive serial number I might be able to tell you what ratio you have later tonight.:)
