Identify Serial #

Hey everyone,

I apologize in advance for my probably amateur question, but can anyone tell me what year my Mercury 60hp 3 cyl outboard with serial OT612370. I'm guessing 02-03, but I could be wrong. Thanks again!

Mercury Outboard Service Advisory 2001-17 was effective for U.S. only 60HP 2000 models beginning at s/n OT081656. I also know of one of these engines with s/n OT951594 that was sold "new" in early 2004. Looks like your guess is pretty good. Hope this helps.

Thanks a bunch! I know it has to be 02-03 because the boat that was sold with it (03 boston whaler 150 sport) was 03. I need to find the exact year because of service manual reasons.

Have you been to the Mercury parts website? Everything is searched by s/n, not year.
