Gear oil type for a 1956 Johnson QD 17

I think the year is correct. It is a 10 hp with what looks like a long shaft extension piece. What is the oil/gasoline mix and what type of gear oil do I use? Thanks, John

I think these are 20 to 1.Gear oil 90 WT.

Thanks, the motor has been painted and it is hard to see what type of lower unit oil is recommended. It looks like it says:

Use VPD10 oil or VP010 oil. There might be a letter before the V.

50 to 1 oil gas mix is correct I assume?

O'oops, looks like you answered the question, 20 to 1 oil gas mix, and a 90 weight gear oil.

The OE gear oil would be OMC/BRP Hi Vis, but any good marine high viscosity gear oil will work.
