Hello, I just got a 16' Larson lapline and i can not find any # plates or # anywhere on it. I think it to be a early 60's boat but not sure. If anyone could help it would be great. It has a 4 cylinder Johnson Super Sea horse outboard don't know what size or where to find #'s on it

Welcome to the iboats.com forum. The experts here, which I am not, can help you with any question about a boat, motor and trailer. Your boat looks to me like the All American model produced during the 1960's. What does your bill of sale/registration/title say? As for the motor, look on the rear of the powerhead for a quarter-sized aluminum disk with the model number and serial number engraved into it. Post what you find. Good luck!

Re: Help with Larson lapline Id

Looks kind of like our 1962 Larson Lapliner / All American. We have a '68 Merc 1000 (100 hp) on her. I currently have all of the interior out and am about to start on tearing out the floor and stringers and then replace the interior with some "upgrades" like a stereo, cupholders, etc.

Here are some photos of when we picked her up, then cleaned her up, changed the water pump, and got her in the water.

Re: Help with Larson lapline Id

i have no paperwork(title/registration)

Sorry about that! Most here would recommend you not spend a penny on it until you are certain it can be registered/titled by you in your state. While your pictures are a little small and fuzzy, your motor looks like a 61-63 Johnson 75HP gas-guzzling V4. Cannot tell for sure but it may also have the less-desirable electric shift gearcase. Electric shift is great when it works but expensive to repair, if you can find the parts. Good luck!

Re: Help with Larson lapline Id

Well thank you everyone for the help on the id of this Boat.
As for that i have to say i love the carolinas! I got lucky and could barly read where the old registration # were on the hull(they had been pulled off about 5 years ago) So I called SC Dept of wildlife where the reg # come from.
So they told me the boat had been sold out of the state--but they were kind enough to tell me the Hull Id that was listed with this reg#. Now i know for sure that it is a 1960 Larson and at the cost of 60$ and a few pieces of legal paper I can and will have it registered and titled to me in NC.. Finaly something went right!!!!!!!
