Well, i have a 20' bowrider with the typical design of the splashwell dividing two rear seats. I would really like to have full-width bench seat. Do you see any reason why i couldnt construct a rear seat 'over' half of the splash well? im not replacing it, just building around and over part of it. I was thinking about this today and cant think of any reason it wont work out. The well will still be able to perform its function. As long as you have enough clearance from the outboard, you should be fine right? what do ya guys think?

I believe that there was a guy on here who did that and made a piece so that it hinged up when he would tilt the motor. Use the search and try sun bench or sunpad, sundeck maybe?

I think you're talking about mine! I miss that boat!

Its the 1986 Bayliner Capri in my signature, the link to my project is below.

There's a link to the finished project and how it all works on Youtube also:

It all came from Wise, and actually I purchased it on ebay, they were closing out some models.

Search on ebay for: "boat bench seat"

I split 1 back-to-back lounge seat, broke it down and reused them as 2 captains chairs.

Ask away!

Here is the full album of pictures:

(I've gotten tons of help from other iboats posters, so if I can pay it back, by all means!)
