Older Johnson Outboard Parts???

I done some trading and got a really neat little 1969 1.5 hp Johnson outboard. It is a Model 1R69. This little jewel runs like new and looks like new. How difficult is it to find parts for this motor? Not a single prob now but I may need some in the future. I would like to change the impeller in it anyway just to be safe. I will post some pics of it soon. Thanks for any input. Dave

look around for a local evinrude mechanic. i have one near me who has every part known to man.
just a ma and pa shop, but a gold mine for parts

To find/order available parts go to the BRP website http://shop.evinrude.com/ Click on Electronic Parts Catalog, then navigate to your motor. It will show you if the part is available and even has a search function to locate hard to find stuff.
