Anybody know anyhting about "Jason" brand boats?

I just purchased a 1987 18ft Jason 1760 Voyager. Thats the description on the original title, but the boat itself says Voyager 1900? I'm lost, I've been unable to find ANYTHING on the web for this boat. Any info good or bad would be great. I picked it up for $1400 from the original owner with every reciept and manual possible. It has the original interior which is due for a changing and maybe a buff or acid wash. Please help me.

Thats awesome man I have the EXACT same boat. I too am having a hard time finding out history of my boat. I dont have a title but registration says 1988 19ft Voyager, Im very knowledgable about boats and have had this boat two weeks. It runs great mine has the 3.7L 470 mercruiser (165 hp) with alpha 1 outdrive. I already replaced gear boot and seal on outdrive I got it from a guy who knew nothing about the boat. Breezworks has an awesome forum for the 3.7 Liter. I like the boat and would like more info as well. Al I can find is that Jason boats were built in TN?? Hopefully someone will help us out.......

Man thats great to hear, well at least the part of somebody having the same boat as I do. I posted under this section because I'm going to replace floorboards, interior and then onto paint. Mine has the OMC 4.3 175HP with a Cobra outdrive. Also you mentioned your registration said "19" ft, mine does too, the title say "18" ft though. Let me know if you find anything

I am buying my dad's Jason 18' fish and ski that has a 115 Suzuki on it this week. I was with him when he bought it at the boat show in 1987. I beleive they were only in biz a few years. I know with ours it has been a great boat. Its too bad they couldn't survive all the competition. But I too have been looking since I am going to buy it and there is just not much to be found the web. If he knows anything different for replacement parts or such, I will pass it on.

Thanks for info. When I bought the boat the guy gave me all the original purchase papers and I found the dealer that sold it to him is still in business. I called them in Illinois and all they were able to tell me was that "Jason Manufacturing Inc" went under about ten years ago and that they made a good boat. He also said not to worry about specific parts because everything is so universal. Oh, he mentioned they were made in Kentucky. Let me know if you hear anymore!

This is awesome that you have the same exact boat! I also own this boat & have owned it since 1990. My father originally purchased it & sold it to my cousin who TRASHED it we are currently restoring it. My dad has really suped it up. He added some exhausts & they sound amazing with the 350 in it. Anything you need to know my dad can answer he's rebuilt the motor dozens of times. He's ran about 68mph with it. Truly a great boat.

I have a 1989 Jason Voyager, picked it up last year for 2k. Strong running 4.3 I/O but I have some rot below the motor mounts. Any help at fixing this would be appreciated. I am pretty sure that there is a Dynasty boat which is the same fiberglass boat. There's one on craigslist in Dallas and also I looked at one here in Indiana and they look the same.

We had to completely redo all of the stringers and one side of the motor mount was bad. We just used the other side as a pattern and rebuilt it and covered it with fiberglass.
