what happened?

bought a boat with a motor that wont start great deal cause i new the problem same as any 25 hp 4 stroke with bad fuel cleaned up carbs starts right up and idles good as soon as you start to throttle it up it it shutters shakes and chokes it self out synch?...floats?...any ideas from any one with experiance on this matter?

For a more detailed response, the make and motor is needed. For a general response, it could be link and sync related as you say, could be the float is not set right and it runs out of fuel on acceleration, could be a clog in the high speed carburetor jet. A good thing is you got the motor to start and it idles well.

motor is a honda 25hp as far as where everything else is no idea where to find those numbers or info, its my first ttime working on an outboard its a 2005 i do know that

i found a number off of iyt so what i got so far is its a honda 25 hp the serial number i found was batj-1001150

when i tore it all apart to clean them i didnt mess with any of the settings i took the carb off removed the bowl cleaned all that up, and i guess its the low pressure jet was what i removed and cleaned i even hooked fuel lines up with bowl off and pumped fuel through moving the floats to see if they werent allowing fuel but fuel was flowing when the float was down and quit when the float was up and the floats move freely the dont hang up in any position.
