Looking at replacing my current cart electric fuel pump with a holley. Holly makes 2 pumps for marine use a red one and a blue one. This will be for a 350 vortec engine with a rochester 4bbl carb. The red pump is preset to 7 psi max while the blue one comes with an adjustable regulator

Ayuh,.... Why,..?? Is it broken,..??

A Carbed motor only needs 5psi,.. reliably, steadily....

Most carbs will hold back 7psi,... unless the float is weak, or the needle,+ seat are worn...

What is a "cart electric fuel pump" and why do you want to replace it?

sorry it was a carter marine electric fuel pump. Towards the end of last year it was getting load and once i had to tap it to get it to run.

I woul dbe tempted to buy the red and still consider running a regulator if you are worried aobut too much pressure. the blue one is for higher pressures and is rated to 70 gph at 14 psi - you'll never have a need for that with the current engine...

Holley red pump will be fine. I used to run a performance parts shop and have sold over 5 thousand Holley red and blue pumps.
