Really?....and I was thinking at how the calibre of play was great. Great game to watch. I remember....what....8 years ago was the first time in the Olympics? Now THAT was pee wee hockey.

The womans game has come along way.

PEEWEE Hockey?
Keep in mind that most of the mens teams are filled up with NHL'ers! No doubt THATS serious hockey.
The women are mostly girls who picked up the game in college, there's no farm team system or semi-pros. Given that, I was dang impressed with the hits and agressive play.
It would just be really nice if there were more teams showed up ready to play besides the US and Canadians.

Give it time. There was a lot of talk about how teams are getting better and better. We have to wait for a generation to get inspired, graduate from high school and grow into the sport.

Wouldn't be surprised to see China running for gold in 4 years....ya never know?

Great game to watch. I agree it does not have the out and out intensity of the men's hockey but it was still a great game to watch.
There again the men's beach volleyball does nothing for me either but it's great to watch the women's !!!

China's basicaly a canadian team with a different flag, our coaching their people, isnt that how the "reds" do business.!!!!!!!!

What a great game, got to love women playing such a physical game with so much heart and skill.

Was it just me but did the US womens team seem just a little too despondant for winning only a silver medal? Even after the crowd chanted USA USA there were a lot of long faces there. Maybe its just me, but winning a silver medal in the Olympics would be the happiest day in my life!

Congrats to all the ladies playing the game whether you won a medal or not.

2) No Wheaties box promotion.
3) Now what do we do for the next 4 years.

Your team played very well. 2 quick goals in the first and then they kept Canada off the scoreboard. Not an easy feat.

Goaltending was great and it was great to see some real emotion. Hitting, going after players.

Yeah it's not the level of the mens but it was a great game and I'm proud of Canada's team, as I'm sure you are of the US team.

hi .....im sorry .....but you have no idea how much hockey is involved in our culture....a day of mourning ....or flags at half mast would not cut it.....

we would be required to throw ourselves into a bungee pit of jagged beer cans !

Yea but peewee hockey players dont smoke and drink beer and wine on the ice after a victory! I think that team is in a little trouble for that one. Its been on the news all day today that they broke some rules or whatever. Done think they can disqualify them but who knows they are going to have a committee meeting over it or something.
