Re: Boat Registration Number Stickers
I had the dealer I bought the boat from place the registration numbers on the boat. You can do it yourself but be sure to follow your state's requirements for proper placement on the boat, size, color and visibility.
For example, in NY where I live and boat, the NY DMV requires the numbers to be block letters, at least 3 inches in height, a color different from the hull that is easy to see, legible from 100 ft away during daylight hours, the only number on the front half of the boat, and placed on both sides of the front half, i.e., port and starboard. You will also get a registration sticker that is to be placed in line with the registration number on both sides of the hull and three inches from the number towards the stern.
And just a thought, you might want to consider having a pro sign person do it if you are going to have them design and put a name on your boat. Should be a snap for them.
Congrats on your new boat and best of luck to ya!
