no fire at plugs

new with outboards just got new 16ft 25hp can't get any spark at all at plugs have 1996 Mercury can someone tell me where to start looking?
should I have at least 1 pole hot from ign. to plug on eng? I did find a toggle
switch under key says run( help )I'll prob.get a service man .

Sounds like you don't have the ignition safety (Engine Shut-off) switch wired in or the switch is in the OPEN condition.

I still new at this computer plus this sight but I just wanted to let everyone
know it was the switch hidden behind the key runs great ready warmer tem.
thanks for help. I don't know how to get to the other sights on here.
