DVDs are country code oriented. US coded DVDs generally will not play on a DVD player that is set for Europe or Australia. You can change the country code once when you buy a DVD player. After that the player will only play DVDs with that specific country code setting.

Could be that when he copied, he removed the region.

hahaha, funniest thing ive read in ages,It is not as such though,Its a shame the local and international media have blown this well and truly out of proportion,It was a simply a case of wrong place and wrong time for the indian bloke,Plenty of things happen over here to Aussie blokes to,we just dont go crying to the media about it.

And Bandit86,Sorry,But never heard of those titles.Maybe im to old or to young,Not quite sure.

Adam (aka 'customvs'. I assume you're a Commodore rev-head),

Take a step back man! Before you go making comments on movies, make sure you have seen them, or at least know what they are about!.... "World's Fastest Indian" is one of the best movies around, and has nothing to do with Indians, north American, or sub-continent.... If you're into motor-cycles get it out and have a look... THEN, come back here and apologize for your behaviour...

Terence Hill and Bud Spencer did a series of movies with "Trinity" as the star... Have a look at 'My name is Trinity' and 'Trinity is still my name'... Films from the 70s.... When a movie had to carry itself and not rely on computer graphics and special effects............ And I'd guess, judging by your username and your written English, you are WAY too young... probably not even born then!

Chris............

The Worlds Fastest Indian is a true life story of a New Zealander that in his golden years decides to be the fastest motorcycle (An Indian) at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Its an awesome movie, a keeper. His speed records held for more than a decade in his engine size class I believe. Nowadays its impossible to do what he did with the regulations and such.

But I was wondering, wouldn't the southern latitude Coriolis effect screw up a high speed DVD from America or vice versa, you know, like turn it into a warp drive or a black hole gyroscope because its having to go against nature?

Just kidding to you blokes:D

We counter the Coriolis effect by playing them upside down... :D:D:D

Thanx for the apology on my behalf, But i dont think it was needed. My behaviour was not and never is '"out of line"". It was simply a matter of confusion as a friend of mine from the US had recently asked about the heavily publicised issues in Melbourne. I was simply assuming that this was what they were talking about, And i actually cracked myself laughing when i first read it, thinking they were making a joke about it. Anyway, i suppose assumption is the mother of all F* ups.

If my assumption did offend anyone, Well, I apologise, My statement was not intended to be offensive nor disrepectful.

Yes Chris, if these were 70s Movies, They were before my time. No, I probably wont watch them, as im not a motorcycle enthusiast.

And lastly, I dont think there is anything wrong with my written english.
