Guy,

Right about now I would like to start getting the parts for my lower unit. It is a 1990 Bayliner with a Merc Alpha 1. I have the serial if you need it. I am kinda dumb when it comes to knowing what I need, but I need everything to install a new impeller. I want it all fresh, so I want the housings as well. Can someone give me a link?

Does this all come in one full kit or do I need to know what to order seperatly.

Thanks.

Ayuh.... That'll be the one... Just be aware that it's a 'multi-fit' kit.... You won't use all the parts in the kit... So don't go looking for something you've missed just because you've got bits left over... :D:D:D

Great!

BTW, any downside to using aftermarket sierra parts over genuine mercruiser parts? As being just an impeller, I'm sure it makes no diffference, just checking.

Aftermarket VS OEM can make a big difference, especially if your talking rubber parts.

If your putting an impellar in just to say you did it and your selling the boat, save a buck, go aftermarket.

If your keeping and running this boat, go OEM.

BTW~ To each their own but when ever I do pumps I just order the whole pump kit with baseplate, gaskets, and cover, I never just do the impellar. I've never had to re-do one that I did because of issues afterwards.... But have had many of folks re-do their own because they have air leaks.
