Re: 2001 Sea Pro 210 CC Pro/Cons

Good boat. should have a 150 on it. I have a Sea hunt, practically the same, and a friend has the Sea Pro. the company is out of business but so what; a hull is a hull.

The "sea" boats are known as middle line--decent quality, basic but good design; not as good or expensive as whaler/grady and that type.

The boat is very comfortable for fishing and cruising, nice and roomy. It will handle any bad weather you get caught in. No problem fishing up to 15 mph sustained. Easy to rig with toys. I take my children tubing some although to me it's a little big if you did that all the time.

Trim tabs are a nice addition.

Find a local fishing board like tidalfish.com to see if they are used in your area--or reply and let us know. Around here (chesapeake bay/atlantic ocean) it's a very popular hull, for good reason.

MY BIL has one. His is a couple years newer.

Awesome boat!! Very capable for what it was designed to do. Smooth and dry. I have gotten many hours on it and it performs really well. He has has it since new and has never had any problems with it. 150 Yamaha 4stroke.

If I was a fisherman I would definatly look at the Sea Pro.

Hey guys, thanks for your responses.

The boat has a 2001 Yamaha 2 stroke Saltwater series 200 hp with less than 100 hours on it. Hour wise he says there are no maintenance but time wise what things should I look for?

Is $13.5 a good price in a buyers market?

what the heck does this mean: Hour wise he says there are no maintenance but time wise what things should I look for?

Take it to a Yam mechanic and get it checked out.
See if the prop is the right size (do you hit your numbers at WOT?)
Does it appear to be well maintained? (hint: look around at the seller's to see how he treats his stuff.

Less than 100 hours in 9 years is not a good thing; motors need to be used. And 100 hours of primarily slow going such as trolling is not good, but that can probably be remedied with a thorough internal cleaning. Post this in the Yamaha section and see what the real experts say. The boat should be fine unless it appears the bilge was left plugged on the trailer and it held water all these years. Electronics may need some help due to salt air but that's to be expected of any boat.

Trailer could be an issue if it's been dunked a lot but they aren't hard to fix either.

13,500 may be on the high side; depends on condition, toys, etc. One owner? But there it is; is there another one like it nearby for sale cheaper? Want to get the shopping over with and start boating?

Haha I mean like oil changes, you change your oil when you hit x miles or when you hit y months(Whichever comes first).
