I'm trying to wire a trim gauge to a new Volvo SX sterndrive, the sender unit has 3 wires, does anyone know which is which for connection to a standard trim gauge. Many thanks.
You only use 2 of the wires. One is the "wiper" and the other 2 are the ends of the rheostat. You always use the wiper connection but the other connection depends on yout gauge. One wire wil not be used.
Go up to the adults section at look at the manuals. They will show the colors of the wires for the sender and which to use.
