I reckon he is trying to do the same to a buyer as he thinks they will to do to him.
Why does he not just put a price on it and list it on Boatpoint and be done with it.
Cheers

I have to watch this one. What an a**hole. I think he's asking a bit too much. Maybe he should sell it in a local paper or sell ads.

Lol. I know but wanting 9 grand just to sort finances. Just a little bit overboard, pardon the pun.

So, since there is no reserve, if the highest bid turns out to be $3.97, will the winner still have to put up ten grand, to pick it up in a reasonable period of time?

I kind of like really stupid people - they give mildly stupid people, someone to look down on.

Here is an identical boat in FL USA with less hours and 2 years newer for $37K USD.

Me thinks someone believes they are sitting on a pot-o-gold.

Reminds me of the guy I bought my boat from, I offered him exactly half of his asking price and walked away giving him my phone number saying it was my final offer if he wanted to get serious. He phoned 15 minutes later accepting my offer...it had been for sale for two years!

I don't understand people like this?

Done that myself with some things and some you win, some you don't. Main thing is that you have that option if you do not desperately need the item and have time on your side.:)

His minimum bid is AU60K, so the fist bid has to be that at a minimum...

37KUS is roughly 40K AU, but those damn Aussies have a 100% import duty.. so it would be closer to 80K AU for an Aussie to buy the one in Florida and bring it to Australia.. I do some business with folks down under, and they are always very careful when buying from anywhere outside Australia...

What I find disturbing in all this, is that a Bayliner could be worth that much used... are their larger boats that much better build quality than their smaller boats?

Everyone who reads this thread should click on the "ask the seller a question" tab in ebay and ask him if he'd take a little less :D
