leaky tilt and trim

Since I had such a good answers to my water pump issue maybe someone can help me with this. I have a 1989 black max 150 that the tilt and trim leaks all the way down when left in the up position. All 3 rams leak down. The tilt and trim units works fine but just leaks down. Thanks for the help

I have the same problem with my "85" Mariner 150. I think it's down to a rebuile/replacement of seals in the tilt trim unit.

There is a check valve in the piston of the port ram. If that gets dirt under it and it holds open, then the engine will leak down.
