trying to ID outdrive

I have a Mercruiser stern drive with a 5.0 V8 id sticker with serial number
A460705 with 1.5R. It is attached to a Mercruiser 5.0 v8 engine serial# A410648.
This seems to fall in between some years when things changed in the alpha series from what I can find in searching the forum. Thanks for the help

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,.... What's the Question,..??

For all practical purposes, you have an Alpha 1....

Only when it's torn down, 'n parts are needed is there any worries...
At that point, the Serial # is all that matters...

It's a 1985 MR outdrive. Engine is a model 230, also 85.

Thanks to you all for the help. I did try the link for the alpha history in the adult sticky but that link did'nt work. But the one in this thread worked just fine. Looking forward to contributing here in the future.
