how do i find out what year my game fisher 7.5 hp is?

I just bought one yesterday(7.5) and I know to look under the tilt bracket for the serial number and go from there. That is why I am on here now. When you find out let me know and I will do the same.

Go to sears.com and then over to their parts department, you can input your model number (maybe S/N too?) and it will give you all sorts of info on the outboard. On my 89 the tag is on the swivel bracket. Crowley Marine is worth a shot also as they have a catalog with S/N ranges, might take a while to find which year matches your S/N range, but it's another option.
