2005 Mercury 90 hp elpt 4s efi sw

I have just ordered a 2010 Landau 20 ft. pontoon. I needed to save some money so I found a new 2005 Mercury salt water motor on the Bass Pro Shops website. I have been assured that the motor is new and unused with just scrathes and decal damage from being on display and is not a hurricane damaged motor. I am getting the motor for $5600.00 compared to $7800.00
for a 2010 model. Have I screwed up? All input appreciated.

Will you be getting the 3 year factory warranty with this motor?

Yes it has the 3 year warranty and should qualify for an additional free 2 year
since I purchased before April 15th. Bass Pro has lots of new 2 and 3yr. old motors at their stores across the country. Check their website and click on motors and check each stores inventory.
