I have a recurring problem of water in my fuel tank for the past year. I have ruled out condensation, ethanol absorbtion and sending unit leak. Pumped 2 gallons of water out of tank this weekend before gas started coming out. Boat is a 2004 Angler Grande Bay with a 200 Yamaha Saltwater Series. For 3years the boat was fine and then all of a sudden I have water in tank about every other time I run boat. Once I get the water pumped out the boat runs fine. As far as I can tell there is no external fuel tank vent other than venting through the fuel tank cap. Wondering if there is a vent hose sitting in bilge somewhere but access is very limited and trying to avoid pulling up console. Anyone else had this severe of a problem or have any input? Really want to get this solved before venturing offshore this summer and have engine troubles.

Ayuh,... The Vent line Must, MUST loop up, before dropping to the tank,...
Otherwise, you get what you're getting...

vent. There is probably another one that you are overlooking.
or the place where the sending unit screws into the top of the tank has corroded and left a hole--but not enough for gallons to get in.

also consider where you are buying your gas, especially if it's at a marina
