its pink but supposed to be red

Can someone tell me how to turn my pink boat back to red.
wax doesnt work - colorsanding and buffnig doesnt work
i used some headlight scratch remover and it worked a little but it took forever.
someone said to use tilex and then floor wax.

its just oxidised i think . its red underneath and it has no scrtches so any input would be great.

there is a lot of info on this topic here, do a search. Your hull is just heavily oxidized and there is no easy way to bring it back. In most cases heavy compounding and then waxing is a good solution. For heavier oxidation levels you will have to wet sand.

Mine was very bad when I got it and had to wet sand the whole boat. Never knew 24ft was soooo long. I started with 400 then finished it with 1,000 then buffed it all out. Lots of work but really looks great now.

thanks guys - i am not afraid of the work - im just afraid of doing work that has no real result other than my arm being sore. i really dont need the excersise -- thanks yall are a big help i will try the sand then buff thing

Rubbing compound should work here is a before and after of one I did. If not like boat1010 said 1000 or 1500 wet sand and then compound,try a small bit first and see how it turns out.

Okay just for giggles...... try a small spot and use vaseline on it and rub it in......

Are you sure it just turned pink? Maybe it was born pink, and was hiding it until now. Don't live in denial!

LOL - i have a picture of this boat when it was new - it was not pink - however my gf said she likes it pink so maybe i leave it pink.LOL . then again maybe she was >>>>> nnnaaaa she was talkin about the boat.
Ok i will say im going to try the vasaline thing just cuz someone said to try it BUT i wont tell anyone if i try it cuz that seems to me like one of them moped ridinig equivalent things.
