I was trying to find some info on an outboard that I recently purchased. Tomson Travlr 4hp. (that's how it's spelled on the hood). Anyone have any info on them. The motor runs extremely well, but I was just looking for future reference.

Thanks,

So it looks like a Tomos, may not be anything to do with Ailsa Craig any more, with a newer style cover but probably still using the old air cooled engine that runs well on a 1:50 mix, thats if its been run in at 1:25, first tank full.
Wouldn't now about its age, as it look like a revamp of the older model, I do have a manual.
Always a good idea to see a picture of an outboard without its cover, as it could have anything under there.

NIEC brought them into the U.S. for awhile back in the late 80's. Unfortunately the factory was in the war zone in Yugoslavia and production ceased. The story we got was that it was destroyed, but who knows? No parts for it and it was considered a POS even back then.
