90 4-stroke fuel filters

I used bad gas. I dont yet have a shop manual. Cleaned primary fuel filter, had water and trash. Engine still running very badly. I have narrowed it down to a fuel problem. Shop man told me to check all filters. Im not sure how to get to the others. I am in a bind, as the shops say they cant touch it for weeks, have 60 scouts coming next weekend that I have to shuttle to nearby island. PLease any help.. Grand Isle, Louisiana

you might want to drain your vst tank and your fuel rail if it is a fuel injection motor

Yes its injected (2008 model) Excuse the ignorance, I keep seeing reference to the VST but dont know what it is. I followed some fuel lines to a long plastic cannister that had 3 hoses connected. TOok this out and blew through all tubes. No restrictions, But also no fuel in the cannister. Is there any online manuals? Thanks for the quick reply!.

i think on that model the vst tank is behind the intake if you find it there is a drain screw on the crack the screw drain the tank good luck i can get a certified tech to come to you but it will cost if you are in grand isle

You did not post your model # or year but you can check this site to see if they have the manual you need or check for other marine manuals in your search of the web. I have not used this site but they are down loadable. Some have said they were good

The bad gas may have fouled your injectors, have to remove them, send off to have them cleaned on a special machine. Worse case, 4 new injectors! My brother-in-law got water in his gas on his 115 Yamaha 4 stroke and has cleaned and replaced all 4. Not real good! Hope it's just your filters!
