Saturday was a great day. I haven't seen my son Carl since last October. Got to see his wife and baby of 9 months. Seeing the grand daughter was a big thrill. She is now at the age of crawling and getting into stuff. She was the 13th grand child to be brought into the family.

Then Carl pops the news to my wife and I that number 14 is on the way! :D :D :D I'm glad that I'm young enough for the ole brain to remember all their names!

Some of you remember the troubles I had with Carl when he was a teen. I had always worried about back then if I was doing the right thing by sticking with my principles and beliefs. I can say now that I feel good on those principles as he has turned into a decent young man. No more fighting at all. We talk about the events that happened years ago and laugh about them. I'm really proud of him and his wife..

Glad to hear that Carl is doing well, sometimes the responsibility to provide for a family and raising one,s children tends to give one a new and decisive focal point.
That's just great news, since i do remember your woes....Golly! The time sure goes by.:)

It's amazing how much us "Dad's" actually knew raising the children eh ???
Shame they don't realise it at the time though.
Congrats to you.:)

I'm glad to hear that about you and your son. I worry, my boy's 18 and it seems like we rarely have a conversation where I don't end up being "dad". It's hard to decide when to lighten up and when to worry about them. I'm trying!
