Hello,

1) My buddy bought a boat as a fixer upper project and the hull has a saw cut in it. It's not very big and we are both new to working on boats. I was just wondering if anyone had a fix for this problem. I have read and google searched "fiberglass repair" and I just wanted to see if there is a "right" way for marine applications. I have seen the fiberglass epoxy repair and the 2 part repair with the cloth which would be best?

2) We also wanted to put in a new deck. The boat is stripped down to the foam on the inside and the wood running north and south, "stringer?" is rotted and we removed it. Can 2x4's replace it and does the wood have to be glued to the hull and if so should we just remove all the foam and rebuild?

Thanks
