First time on the Forums. I have a 2002 Tracker with a Mercury 50 HP 2 Stroke. The tilt/trim works in neutral and low speed, as well as on land at the house. When I increase the speed and begin to punch the trim button the tilt and trim does not work. Any thoughts. Thanks you.

does it drift down? If your raise it a little and then give it gas does it stay or slam down?

It does not slam down. It doesn't seem to function at all when at increased rpm and in gear.

If it goes up and down at the dock then your motor, relays, wiring, and switch are passing their basic test.
If it goes up and down all the way at dock then you have enough fluid.
If it doesn't drift down from tilt then your check valves are passing their basic test.
If it doesn't go down with throttle then your bypass and trim limit are passing their basic test.

not much left ....
maybe its a loose connection or bad relay and changing angle of boat is causing it to stop working.

Thank you for the information, RRitt. I will double check all test you have mentioned. Good day for Texas, land of Possum Kingdom Lake, where the golden is killing again.

LOL. You mean there really is a place called Possum Lake? I thought Jethro and Granny were just making that up.
