It's a "Cutie." Actually, I don' know, but it is cute. I wonder what hp outboard it's designed for...I think you'll have fun with it, in any case.

I just brought it home! It doesnt have a name on it but it was a jetboat at one time, but someone took it out and put a transom in.

Check that transom carefully for strength before hanging an outboard on it. If they did a good job, it'll be fine. So, how long is that little character? Looks like about 8' to me. I'm thinking about 10 hp on it would scoot it along PDQ. A 15hp Johnson or Evinrude would make it fly, without too much weight. Keep us informed.

Scat Inc?

Scat Inc?

I bought this boat for $100 on Craighslist today and I looked up the Hull Id Number and it says this boat is from Scat Inc. I cannot find anything but hovercrafts from them. Does anyone know much about these boats

anything after '72 must have a hin on it. usually on the transom, starboard side. but not always, my '75 is dead center on the transom.
modded transom?
maybe older?
might be hard to id.
invader? i doubt it though.. just a stab in the dark. that name just came to mind.
agreed, it's a cutie. ought to get some fine comments on that at the boat ramp... be a blast to drive around too... ;)

Re: Scat Inc?

Scatcraft. They made speedboats in the early 70's. Similar to the glastron speedboats you saw in the James Bond movie filmed in the Bayou. I had one friend with a 16' scatcraft with a 135 and another with a 14' with somewhere around an 80. They were scary fast.
