Yamaha 03 F225 mystery hose????

There is a small dia hose 1/4"? that runs from the top cowling down through the steering arm to the bottom of the rear mid section and is attached to a plastic what looks like a pick up tube?
Can some one tell what this hose is? and where it attaches to the motor?
Mine is just laying inthe cowling right by the bottom of the intake and is not attached to anything?

it is a hose for the speedometer -pickup in the lower unit. (a very small diameter hole on the leading edge of the gearcase) depending on the boat set up it may not be used. boat mounted pitot tube etc...

I do not need that with my set up, will just plug it..
