Today, I've fired up my 1966 Lark VIII to see if everything was ok with the recently water pump impeller replacement. I had to turn off very fast my engine, it was hot at the head right beside the spark plugs. Not long after I shut the engine off, but return the key in ON position, I found out that the red light engine HOT turned on. I just hope I did'nt do any damage. While running the engine, I kept it in neutral position. I had a little water comin' out with exhaust at the pee hole.
SO did I do something wrong while changing the impeller or there is just not enough water in a big barrel to run it? It had water over 2-3'' over the big plate. I will get it on the lake this weekend and I just hope it pumps more water out.
